    I prefer agave …
I prefer agave nector. Stevia is good, but I don’t like the after taste. MoroccanSword, I call sugar “sweet crack”. It is additive, leads to inflammation throughout your body and it is very BAD for you. Not sure how you figure it isn’t.

nice vid. I’m attempting to remove sugar as much as possible from my diet (as it’s highly acid)
I read somewhere that Stevia is alkaline, is that true?

    1. Artificial sugar …
    1. Artificial sugar alternatives are not top on my list of ways to sweeten a drink. 99% of the time, I choose to not sweeten my iced tea if the only choice I have is saccharin, aspartame, sucralose, etc. I don’t like the taste and it’s all chemical, anyway. Read the FDA GRAS reports on these. Those are public documents you can find on the FDA’s site.

My top choice to put in my drinks is stevia. And yes, it make a difference what brand you use. It really helps me with sugar cravings.

    No, sugar nor …
No, sugar nor artificial sweeteners are healthy, they cause serious health problems. Aspartame and HFCS in fact increase obesity. I use organically grown Stevia for those things that I want to add some sweetness to. It’s great stuff, actually a herb and is great for yoru hair, nails and skin too : )

    I bought a pack of …
I bought a pack of stevia but was surprised to read on the back of the package that the recommended daily intake was a maximum 60mg, which is very little. It’s barely enough for one cup of coffee. What are the safety risks if I decided to, say, double that amount per day?

Btw, Agave is 3 times sweeter than sugar (at least Wholesome sweetners’), AND it does not distort the flavor of whatever it is added to… unlike stevia.

    I’ve used Truvia, a …
I’ve used Truvia, a sweetener made from stevia. After using it for 4 weeks, 3 to 4 packs a day, I noticed problems remembering things. Driving, running errands I would forget things such as which store I was going to, what street to turn down, forgetting to pick up kids. This was very frightening and had never happened to me before. Now that I’ve stopped using it, I’m returning to a normal state again. I found out this plant is smoked like marijuana. No thanks, I’ll use honey instead.
