You may eat meat fish egg milk products as well as wheat rice nuts tubers leaves fruit and vegetables. Remember not to repeat only a few items everyday. Change all items in two or three days.Drink enough water at intervals about 12 glasses everyday.

Consume food only as much it is required for the time being. When you insist non-vegetarian eat vegetables or fruit 50-100 grams un- cooked .
Avoid canned foods, biscuits, sweets, beverages such as cocoa cola and foods that used colours and preservatives .
Liquors , tobacco in any form, drugs and sedatives of all types should completely be avoided.
Drink 12-14 cups of water (children 8-12 cups or in proportion) including coffee and tea
References :
The term organic is incredibly overrated. There is absolutely no scientific evidence what so ever that non-organic food is any worse for you than organic food. In fact, if everybody ate organically there would only be enough food in the world to feed about 2/3 of the world population.

The stuff you're worried about, like pesticides, is already strictly controlled by both FDA and the producer.

EDIT: Well there's certainly no high fructose corn syrup in non-organic produce :) If you're worried about processed foods, which is completely legitimate, you'll have to buy all your foods in their original form, and add spices and such yourself. I, too, had to learn to cook my own food from the bottom up.

MSN Health has a good, scientifically correct list of food additives to avoid: (pay special attention to number 4, aka preservative E621, it's everywhere).
